Colophon
How this site was made
Three families, all via Google Fonts: Plus Jakarta Sans for display
(700 and 800, with 500 italic for taglines), Instrument Sans for body
(400 through 600), and Geist Mono for the mono chrome (eyebrows, the
wordmark, meta, code). Geist Mono is the one typeface shared with the
icnt.cloud lab. The canvas is a warm linen at
#EDE9E0;
the brass at
#C5A059
only appears on rules and highlights, so the page reads as one note
unless you reach for it. Background depth is a single soft brass
radial gradient at seven percent opacity, applied to the body —
no grain layer; linen carries enough warmth on its own. Built with
Astro, deployed on Vercel. A little vanilla JavaScript runs the
/visuals lightbox and this page's easter eggs; everything else here is
static HTML and CSS. Photography is mine, shown unfiltered, matted in
off-white frames.

Influences
The choices weren't pulled from a swatch book. The deep sage and brass come from a lineage of color in light: Thief's neon on pavement, Blade Runner's amber and shadow, the warm contrast of 70s film stock. The linen surface and matted photo frames treat the print as an object, not a stream. Restraint, because the work that holds up is the work where craft is visible without being explained.
